Paintings from this body work began with the title, which was repeatedly stenciled to create a field of color and space, images emerged in the process of working. Some of the paintings used collaged text from journals, newspapers, and books as the initial layer followed by stenciling and layers of color glazes and images. This work came from thinking about titles of work, traditionally occurring at the end of the process, I wondered what would happened if the title of the work is embedded, a physical part of the painting from the beginning.
