2010 Paintings: Rhythm
My work is an exploration of the interplay between limits, intent, and chance. Intention initiates action, which sets in motion limits and possibilities. In recent work this exploration has focused on the play of rhythm and of color. The vertical lines and forms in my paintings and prints create a rhythmic narrative space of forms and ideas through their thinness or thickness, opacity or transparency, color and value.
